Mission Statement

Last Generation Press is a teen-run imprint of Writ Large Press focused on publishing young writers. The group was founded by a class of poets who met at CSSSA (California State Summer School for the Arts) and realized together that writing was all they really had. With Last Generation Press, we aim to support teen writers who may otherwise be overlooked by or not know how to navigate the publishing industry. We condemn all forms of bigotry and fascism, and we will not publish authors who engage in hateful rhetoric. We also will not distribute through Amazon and will prioritize selling with independent bookstores or directly through our site. We publish prose and poetry written by teen writers (13-19 years), and we love reading, so if you have a manuscript (yes, even an imperfect one), send it to us at lastgenerationpress@gmail.com!
